{"id":41,"date":"2018-10-02T16:10:57","date_gmt":"2018-10-02T16:10:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.quicksetupguide.com\/blog\/?p=41"},"modified":"2018-10-02T16:10:57","modified_gmt":"2018-10-02T16:10:57","slug":"how-to-set-canon-camera-exposure-compensation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.quicksetupguide.com\/blog\/2018\/10\/02\/how-to-set-canon-camera-exposure-compensation\/","title":{"rendered":"How to set Canon Camera exposure compensation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are differences in the way exposure compensation is set on EOS cameras.<\/p>\n<p>EOS-1D, 1D Mark II, 1D Mark II N, 1D Mark III, 1D Mark IV, 1Ds, 1Ds Mark II, 1Ds Mark III, 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, 5D, 5D Mark II, D30, D60, EOS 7D<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Half press the shutter button to activate the camera and take a meter reading.<\/li>\n<li>Check that the Quick Control Dial is switched on.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the Quick Control Dial to set compensation \u2013 right for positive, left for negative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>EOS 300D, 350D, 400D, 450D, 1000D<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Half press the shutter button to activate the camera and take a meter reading.<\/li>\n<li>Press and hold the +\/- Av button.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the Electronic Input Dial in the desired direction \u2013 right for positive, left for negative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you have set exposure compensation, it will stay set until you reset it back to zero again, even if you turn the camera off and back on again.
